Mug Rug is Finished

I just wanted to share the finished mug rug for my swap.I am happy with how it all came out. I can't wait to put this in the mail.  I didn't think that I would be doing any hand work. However, I hand stitched the little pieces down. If you look close their poor little feet aren't even done that well. I thought the vine with leaves would be a nice quilting design. It's autumn and all. After the handwork, I decided not to applique little tiny leaves. It just seemed to much. I detest  am not a fan of handwork.

I also decided just to do a plain back. Nothing special.
I am loving these swaps. They are really fun!!! Anybody doing another swap. I'm game!

I felt hand binding would look a lot cleaner than machine binding. It's decent. I'm not a pro.  I had a lot of fun making this. I am definitely going to make a wall hanging. Then, the pieces will be big enough for me to machine applique. ;) I hope my partner likes it. We're over at ipernity. Check it out!
I was just dropping in on you. Blog at ya later!
